What I’m Sewing This Week~

Unfortunately the only sewing I’ve gotten done this week is mending and altering!! However, my “needs fixing” pile has gotten much smaller! I’m still working in my closet and pulling stuff out. I have another pile of clothes to try on and make decisions about.

On the bright side I did clean up my sewing space a bit so I’m all ready to dive back into sewing for me!!!

I did get in a new gorgeous piece of rayon challis from Raspberry Creek Fabrics that I had custom printed. This will be sewn up into a promo for RCF and I’m currently deciding exactly what I want to make with it. My thoughts are leaning towards a midi length dress or a faux dress using the LN Caprice Skirt and an undecided top pattern. This weekend I need to make a decision on this and get started! In case you’ve never sewn with RCF rayon challis~ it is THE BEST!

Why is RCF rayon challis so special?  RCF rayon challis simply isnโ€™t as โ€œshiftyโ€ as some rayons can be.  Thus making it a dream to cut and sew.  It truly is one of my most favorite fabrics to sew.  If youโ€™ve never sewn with rayon before~ RCF rayon challis is the best place to start.

Thanks for reading โ€œThe Weekly Stitchโ€! Iโ€™m so happy you took the time to โ€œvisitโ€ my sewing room!

I just discovered your site. I have now bookmarked it to follow each day.

I sew a lot of Love Notions patterns, so this month has really been fun. I haven’t bought a lot of the patterns on MMM as I already had so many of them.

My favourite pattern (right now) is Rhapsody. I’ve been using Classic Tee a lot just recently as well and Vivace is a well used pattern in my collection too.

I’ve been reading your LN Trunk Show posts daily and have purchased the Sunday Romper and Willow Wrap Dress using your code (by the way, LN gave me an additional .50 off with your code for the Willow Wrap Dress).

Looking forward to seeing your new makes and reading what you have done to your past items to make them fit your new size.

I found your blog last year when I wanted to make a woolen blanket winter coat. Your blog on the coda coat was so helpful. I keep coming back to see what your up to.

I started sewing again with love notions patterns and found you when I was looking for extra help. And then through you I’ve branched out to pattern emporium and now I’m looking everywhere for fun new patterns. I appreciate your comments on how you’ve made changes to patterns. And because of you I’m the proud new owner of a constellation made out of swim fabric-perfect for a bike ride!

Your blog is very helpful. I appreciate the detailed info you offer for the patterns used. I love how you explain the pattern alterations you make to fit your body so perfectly. I also find it helpful when you talk about fabrics and how they work with the pattern. Excellent blog Mary. Thank you.

I look forward to reading your blog every week. It is chock full of information. I am envious of all of your Aria makes. I have sewn several short sleeve variations and want to get to work on some long sleeve Arias (especially color blocked in linen). I would have to say that one of my favorite Love Notions patterns is the Meadowlark. I just love the shorts version and have sewn up 4 pairs. I branched out to trying Pattern Emporium and the About town Popover top is fabulous. I want to try and get a pair of Getaway Shorts made today.

hope you have a sewing filled Sunday

I found your blog though the competition/giveaway. I wasn’t paying super close attention at the beginning and now I’m sad I missed some patterns that I would have wanted. Supper bummed I missed out on the Clearwater collection.

I particularly love your pictures with all the cute pattern variations that you show in outdoors settings. I followed all along the Love Notions Me made may but unfortunately I missed Summer basics dress. It would be perfect for the heatwave we actually live here in France. Have anice day !

I have been following your Friday postings for quite a while. Used your MaryMac10 code more than once. I particularly love how you show what you wore that week and am gobsmacked how far you bike sometimes. How on earth do you have time to sew? Anyway, just want to say thanks for your postings, I know they take effort and time. I have been hoping all month that the Muse was going to be a part of the offerings and yippee, here it is today. Off to purchase it now. Have a great day!

Thank you. I missed a couple of days and today was unable to buy the Muse. Something with my computer and the site I guess. I am still hoping to be able to buy that one. I know that some of you makes pushed me into buying a pattern I wasn’t sure of.

I’ve been reading your blog for a while now. I love seeing all of the sews. It’s awesome looking at what you wear and how you style the different patterns. Maybe I’m old school but I really appreciate the blog style. Whenever a new love notions pattern releases I like seeing if you’ve sewn it.

I’ve sewn a few love notions patterns and have liked most. I just have two newer little guys which has seriously cut into my sewing time. I’m starting to think my hobby is collecting sewing patterns rather than actually sewing them lol, but I make plans and sometimes actually scrape out enough time and energy to sew.
