The Weekly Stitch With Sew Mary Mac~ June 19, 2026

………….Welcome to My Sewing Room (This post contains affiliate links.)

Pattern Emporium 50~Off Friday Pattern Is~ Palazzo Pants!

How comfy do these pants look!?!?! Designed for knit fabrics, I can just imagine these sewn up in a slinky ITY knit for a perfect date night look that is also comfy! I’m going through my stash right now to see what I’ve got!

Ready to sew pants with main-character swish?  The pants that go from lounge to lunch to “actually, I do look amazing” with very little effort.

They’re soft, stretchy and ridiculously comfortable, with a wide-leg flare that makes them feel a little bit skirt, a little bit trouser and a whole lot fabulous. Choose your waist, length, waistband, flare and pockets, then let your fabric decide the mood.

You can grab this pattern for $6.00 (USD) Here. (Note, since PE is an Australian company the sale lasts until Friday 10 PM EST)

News From Love Notions~

SORRY~ There is no sale on any Love Notions patterns this Friday. The next Feature Collection Sale will be in July as they are taking a break for the release of the new Somerset pattern (next Friday!) and then Tami and Tessa will be taking a vacation. The next Collection Sale is bound to be a good one, so keep your fingers crossed that it will include a pattern you want/need! A little bird told me it will include patterns for wovens. Is there a woven pattern you’ve wanted to see on sale? Let me know in the comments!

Remember all patterns featured in a collection sale are just $5 each! If you purchase 2 or more, you can also get the additional 10% off with my code MARYMAC10.

What I Wore Last Week~

The week started off with cool mornings, however that changed quickly as the week went on! The days became steamy and along with a bad bruise/swelling on my leg I was only comfortable wearing my LDT dresses! I will admit this is a tad boring this week! But I am forcing myself to wear everything in my closet so I can assess what I have!

  • LN Constellation Pullover~ in Verona Stretch Woven from Raspberry Creek Fabric (custom print)
  • LN Aria Button Down~ Color blocked in linen from Gray Lines Linen, NYC Garment District
  • LN Constellation Pullover~ in French Terry from RCF (Summer 2026 Collection)
    • I just love the salt water taffy design of this fabric!
  • Sew House Seven Tabor V-neck~ in a rib knit (made many years ago!)
    • I love the V-neck of this top and I think I need to make a few more!
  • LN Laundry Day Tee Dress~ in an ITY knit from Zelouf Fabrics, NYC
  • LN Laundry Day Tee Dress~ in an DBP from Joann Fabrics several years ago

The Constellations were new makes just this Spring. The Navy Shell design was custom printed on a new fabric that RCF carries, Verona Active Stretch Twill. Want to know more about this amazing fabric? Visit this Weekly Stitch.

I’ve continued to work through my closet deciding what to keep and alter or what to donate. I was happy to discover that all of my older LN LDT dresses fit again! In fact a few of them I will take them in a tad down the side seam at the bust and waistline. I have always kept the fit very close at the bust to help prevent that “tent” look. The navy and green ITY knit version was always my favorite! I love packing ITY LDT dresses for vacations! No wrinkles!

What I’m Sewing This Week~

I finished sewing up my final version of the new Somerset pattern from Love Notions. The Somerset WILL be releasing next Friday, June 26! It will be on sale through Thursday, July 3 for just $9.50. (Remember my code will get you and additional 10% off)

I also prepped some strike-off sewing that I am doing for Raspberry Creek Fabrics of the “Back To School” collection which will release the end of June or beginning of July. RCF will also be carrying a new shirting cotton soon. I have a sample of that coming to me this week. It will be available in 24 solid colors as well as custom printed on white. This fabric (no official name for it yet) is 100% cotton, 58″ wide and 110 gsm. I’m looking forward to my sample and will keep you posted about this new fabric. I think it will be perfect for the LN Band Camp shirt, Aria button down or Melody Dolman to name a few. I had one of my favorite designs printed on the white and I’m thinking of a Melody Dolman!

Not much else going on sewing wise for me, as I’m also packing for a trip up to Boston. We are driving up this Sunday and will spend a few days there and then stopping in Mystic, CT on the way home. Well eating at our favorite restaurants in the North End of Boston and “playing tourist” around town. We may run into the “Tartan Army” the droves of Scottish who have arrived in Boston to see Scotland play in the World Cup.

In Mystic we will hopefully get in a paddle or two, a few bike rides and eat a couple Lobster Rolls! It’s a quaint little town just filled with amazing restaurants! We go there a few times a year~ it’s our little home away from home! You can expect to see some pics in the next few weeks!

Here is a sneak peek of the “Faux Dress” I made using the LN Timbre Top and the Caprice Skirt. This is rayon challis from Raspberry Creek Fabrics that I had custom printed. As a member of RCF Promo team, I was given this fabric in exchange for sewing it up, photographing it and then do a tad of promo work(which I do anyway for my makes!). I truly LOVE RCF rayon challis for the way it washes (and dries) and for how easy it is to sew with. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially is you’ve found rayon challis to be a tad shifty to work with. I would however not recommend a block print like this for beginners. I cut this out single layer in order to get the fabric just perfect and to have all my side seams match perfectly!

Thanks for reading “The Weekly Stitch”! I’m so happy you took the time to “visit” my sewing room!
