New Pattern From Pattern Emporium~ The On Repeat Woven Tee!

The On Repeat Woven Tee just released yesterday! It is 15% off through Sunday(early Monday). It is just $11.90. This is just pure simplicity! It’s the top pattern you didn’t know that you needed! I’ve purchased mine already~ and I’ve been looking through my stash to find the perfect fabric for it.

You can grab the pattern HERE.  No code is needed, the discount will apply at checkout.

What a great staple this would be in anyone’s wardrobe! Being petite yet curvy~ I’ve never really worn woven tees because I’ve never found them to be comfortable to wear. However~ with the FBA included along with grading out for my hips I think I can make and wear this! My plan this weekend is to sew one up in a rayon challis. (I’ll post it here as soon as it’s finished!)

Fabric choice can really make a difference with this top! Sewn in a solid it becomes a top you may grab often to complete an outfit. Sewn up in a beautiful floral or print~ it becomes the star of the show!! Sometimes simple and classic is all you need with the perfect print!

I think what I love the most about this is the faced neckline. I see this often in higher end RTW tops and love this look!

Added Bonus~ You can get 15% off the patterns listed below during this release sale as well. These are some of the garments that pair perfectly with the On Repeat Woven Tee. This sale ends Sunday/Early Monday as well.

New Retail Fabrics Will Be Arriving at Raspberry Creek Fabrics This Month!

There are a lot of new fabrics arriving at Raspberry Creek over the next few weeks. Next week the Christmas Club fabrics will arrive on Tuesday, 9/8. It’s never too early to grab your holiday fabrics so you’re ready for gift giving or holiday photos! Remember that Club releases are always $1 off per yard for the first week, so it’s a great time to grab them!

Following that release there will be a ton of retail fabrics releasing. I’ve selected several of them as a member of the RCF Promo to sew up for each release. Lots of Fall/Winter fabrics are coming your way!! (PS~ please know that although I am a Promo Team member I was a RCF customer for many years before that. They consistently have high quality fabrics at a reasonable price. And, we all know that I am a bit of a fabric snob!)

  • New Denims in September (various shades and weights, stretch and non-stretch)
  • New Retail Ribbing in September (I’ve used it already and it’s wonderful)
  • New Flannel Retail ~ Sept/Oct
  • New Cargo Canvas in Oct.
  • New Plaid Shirting in Oct.
  • And More!!

What I Wore Last Week~

I wore almost all Love Notions this past week~ most of them being older makes as I’m still going through my closet. The 2 Rhapsody blouses are in my alter pile~ as I will be shortening them about 2″. My Ballad blouse is quite large~ but it’s not an easy alteration, so I may just keep wearing it tied up.

The rest (with the exception of the brand new Somerset capri pants) are older makes that had gotten too small. They all fit well and will remain in my closet! As for the Somerset capri pants~ this is a sneak peek of fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics that will be available 9/15. There is a complete collection of retail denims launching, some with stretch, some without. This is an 8 oz light wash non-stretch denim. A perfect choice for the fall!!

  • LN Rhapsody Blouse~ in purple/blue floral rayon (Milly Mae?)
  • LN Ballad Blouse~ in a rayon challis from Raspberry Creek Fabrics
  • LN Rhapsody Blouse~ in a custom printed rayon challis from RCF
  • LN Laundry Day Tee Dress~ in a floral ITY knit from Zelouf Fabrics, NYC (and online)
  • LN Laundry Day Tee Dress~ in a custom printed swim knit from RCF
  • LN Aria Button down~ in a cotton pinstripe embellished with pink embroidered dogs (no idea where I found this!)
  • LN Willow Wrap Dress~ in an ITY knit from Zelouf Fabrics
  • LN Harmony Top~ in a Rifle Paper Co. rayon poplin (How I wish this fabric was still readily available!)
  • LN Somerset Pants ~ in a light 8 oz. denim from RCF (sneak peek of one that is releasing 9/15)

What I’m Sewing This Week~

This week I had 2 main sewing goals~ and I completed them both! First I sewed up 6 Brindle & Twig Lounge Sweatshirts for my great nephew Jacob’s 1st birthday! All fabrics were French Terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. I also sewed up 2 final versions of the new Serenade Shirt (and I’ll be sewing one more over the weekend!). I have never been able to wear a wrap shirt~ and I’m loving this and how it fits. (No gaping!!!)

I also sewed up the beautiful piece of Swafing French Terry from Germany. I’m so happy that I got it sewn up now so I will be ready for FALL this year!!!

I purchased this from Style Maker Fabrics which is one of my favorite mother/daughter owned small fabric shops. They source their fabrics from all over the world and always have some of the best quality fabrics available! They will have their big Fall/Winter Release of fabrics in September. I always buy a large quantity from them during their Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer releases as they also feature $5 shipping for the first 2 weeks. (It has always been $5 previously~ I can not guarantee it will be that this year.). You can also order swatches of any fabric you may be interested in at a small price (around 10% of the cost per yard) plus all swatches ship for free.

My Sewing Plans~

I’ll be taking a short sewing break this weekend after I make one more Serenade shirt so that I can have a detailed blog post ready for release day, Tuesday 9/8!

Once that is done~ I’ll be sewing up the Raspberry Creek Fabrics Christmas Club fabrics that should be arriving any day now! I’ve got some sweatshirt fleece in holiday prints that I’m planning on making into LN Arias. I made one last winter and I seriously lived in it!! I also have a French Terry coming which will become a LN Sloane Sweater.

I also have a retail Flannel arriving next week from RCF which will be either another LN Aria or a PE Downtown Jacket. I’ll decide once I actually have the fabric and can feel like.

Thanks for reading “The Weekly Stitch”! I’m so happy you took the time to “visit” my sewing room!
