Sewing World News~

The Fall Collection has been released at Style Maker Fabrics! The $5 shipping special is good until 10/5~ so now is the time to order if you’re interested. No matter how much you order~ the cost is just $5! (International fabric orders will receive a special discounted rate.) My big box is scheduled to arrive on Monday! I can’t wait to show you everything!

Style Maker Fabrics is one of my go-to fabric shops. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2018. If I had to pick ONEreason I love Style Maker Fabrics it would be the quality! This small family owned business goes above and beyond to make sure ALL the fabrics they sell are top quality.

Love Notions

The Denim Collection sale is over, so I hope you grabbed any of those patterns that you may have been interested in. The next “Collection” Sale will not be until November, however there WILL be a site-wide sale this month!! All patterns and courses will be on sale except the new Serenade. You’ll also be able to get the updated “Look Book” for free with a purchase.

I’ll let you know all the details when I’m “allowed” to!

Pattern Emporium Friday 50% Off Pattern Is~ Exhale Flared Top &Dress

The Pattern Emporium Exhale is a highly versatile sewing pattern designed for fluid stretch fabrics. It features a flared silhouette with options for a casual top, a high-low hem top, or a flowy tent dress. With four neckline and four sleeve options to mix and match, it serves as an excellent, beginner-friendly staple for a year-round wardrobe.

Remember that since Pattern Emporium is an Australian company~ their seasons are opposite of ours here in the US. I’m taking advantage of these sales even though I won’t be sewing them up right now. I’ll have them all come our Spring/Summer!! Last Fall I bought the About Town Popover and it was one of my favorite patterns that I sewed up this summer!

You can grab the pattern HERE. The Exhale is on sale for $5.50 USD

Remember PE in an Australian company so this sale will end Friday night at 10 PM EST.

Raspberry Creek Fabrics~ New Denim Collection

I’m so sorry that I keep telling you that the denim is coming to the RCF shop and then having to tell you that it isn’t up yet! What I Wore Last Week~

Well Fall has arrived along the North East Coast~ along with a nasty Nor’Easter. Note the last 2 photos~ those were the best I could get when it wasn’t downpour raining! (It was a bit windy!) I took advantage of the cooler weather to pull out some older makes and try them on. Some I took off immediately and added to my donate pile, others will be added to the “mountain high” alteration pile, while some have gotten comfortable to wear again!

Next week hopefully you’ll see a mixture of clothes ~ as we will be getting some “Indian Summer” days! Last chance to wear some of my lighter weight tops!

  • LN Aria Button Down~ in a rayon/linen blend “seafood” print from BlackBird Fabrics
  • LN Terra Tunic~ in a cotton French Terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics

  • LN Sloan Sweater(banded hem option) ~ in French Terry from Style Maker Fabrics (2025)

What I’m Sewing This Week~

I have to admit~ after a nice long vacation, catching up on laundry(the worst thing about coming home from a vacation), birthday activities, decorating the outside for fall and picking up cleaning up from the Nor’Easter. I really haven’t sewn anything this week!!!

I’m hoping this weekend I will get started on my Christmas Promo sews for Raspberry Creek Fabrics. My goal is to sew up at least one of them weekend! (Maybe 2!)

My Sewing Plans~

So~ I just cut and pasted my sewing plans from last week’s Weekly Stitch AGAIN! Let’s hope I get this accomplished!

The first thing I need to do is to finish up the Christmas Club Strike offs.

Next I plan on working on a RCF promo with some navy “Cargo Canvas”to sew up a jacket. I’ve been going back and forth on which pattern to use. Over vacation I looked at some other options, so this weekend I’ll make my final choice and get started. Contenders are: Grainline Thayer Jacket, Chalk & Notch Den Jacket and the Friday Pattern Company Ilford Jacket.

I’m also hoping to sew up one or two new LN Aria Button downs in Fall plaids! I’m sure you noticed by now that I LOVE wearing button downs and I actually “need” a few new ones for Fall. I have some really awesome “sueded rayon shirting” fabric coming from Style Maker Fabrics for one of the Arias. I can’t wait to sew this up! I also purchased some rayons for a few blouses/tops which I want to get sewn for Fall.

Thanks for reading “The Weekly Stitch”! I’m so happy you took the time to “visit” my sewing room!
