Raspberry Creek Fabric’s Christmas Collection of fabrics was released this week. These are all the French Terry, Cotton Jersey, Rib Knit and DBP prints. They are all $1 off the regular price through Tuesday, 9/23/25. Here is a link to the complete collection.
I sewed up three different prints. I made a LN Constellation in French Terry, a True Bias Marlo Sweater in French Terry and a hacked LN Juliet in cotton jersey for a nightgown. And yes, I did stand outside in my front yard in my new nightgown to take pictures.

What I Wore Last Week~
Just a typical week here~ dinner and shopping with my sister, a bike ride and picnic lunch with my husband, some sewing, a hair cut and visit from my daughter and her puppy 🙂
- LN Bandcamp shirt in a novelty rayon/linen blend from Metro Textiles NYC
- LN Timbre Top~ bishop sleeve with button front in a rayon voile from LA Finch Fabrics
- LN Bandcamp shirt in “Bubble Gauze” from Joann Fabrics (I bought yards of this in many colors just before liquidation with coupons for a crazy price!
- LN Constellation in a Custom print swim fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics
- LN Timbre Top in a Stretch Crepe from Raspberry Creek Fabrics
- LN Melody Dolman in a Crinkled Cotton (from my stash but Style Maker Fabrics has something very similar in several colors)

What I’m Sewing This Week~
This week I’m working on a few transition pieces. I’ve selected things my from Fall Sewing Plans that will work for the warmer days that we are still getting, but give a more fall vibe. Every day the weather is different!
- LN Timbre Top button-down in a crimson block print cotton batiste from Blackbird Fabrics.
- LN Timbre Top button-down in a denim floral rayon challis from my VERY deep stash. (10 years old?)
- OOPS~ I made something that wasn’t on my Fall Sewing Plans list. I made another LN Timbre button- down top in a green double gauze (one of my last big hauls from Joann Fabrics). I just love this color and thought it was perfect for Fall
That’s all I worked on this week, as I want to clean up my sewing room so I’m all ready to go when Iget home. I HATE coming home to a messy sewing room!

Aren’t the color of these fabrics just perfect for Fall? They are also lightweight enough that they will be perfect for the Indian Summer days we always get in October!
Sewing Plans For Next Week~
I’ll be away all this week on my favorite vacation of the year!!! Every September we head off to Block Island. A small island off the coast of Rhode Island~ think of it as a more low key Nantucket. It truly is my favorite place on earth. September means warm and cool weather (you never know what you’ll get each year!), no crowds, empty beaches, riding bikes for miles, kayaking with seals and lots of good food! I’m hoping for smooth seas for the ferry trip over, warm days and cool evenings! No matter what it’s a great relaxing trip. Beware, there will lots of photos to come.
When I return~ I will get back to my Fall sewing plans that I posted last week. In case you missed them here they are:
- LN Aria Button downs
- Corduroy ~Woodland print that I purchased last fall from Style Maker Fabrics

Fabric Resources
The LN Constellation is made from RCF Swim fabrics. It is one of my favorite fabrics to use for the Constellation. The patchwork print is a custom print from Cheryl Graham Designs. She is one of my favorite textile designers. I have several of her prints that I have used for both the Constellation, Tinley Skort and LDT dress. You can find all of her prints HERE.
Raspberry Creek Fabrics Swim is high quality and UPF 50+. It’s the perfect weight for tops and dresses and isn’t too clingy. And of course- it’s perfect for swimsuits! The best thing about RCF Swim is that it is available in the cutest prints with coordinating checks, stripes, polka dots and solids! I also find RCF swim easy to sew with. It’s thick enough that the edges don’t roll and isn’t too slippery.
The LN Timbre is made from a Stretch Crepe fabric. You can find the exact fabric I used HERE. You can find their complete collection of stretch crepes HERE. First off, don’t let the name fool you. It is a woven fabric, not a knit. RCF stretch crepe is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. That small amount of spandex content gives the fabric just a touch of stretch. It makes movement when wearing it just a tad easier. This small amount of spandex does NOT mean you can use it for patterns designed for just knits. FYI: Not all crepes have spandex in them.
Crepe is a woven fabric. During weaving a yarn is twisted . That twisted yarn gives the fabric surface a slight texture. This crepe texture adds dimension and interest to the fabric. Some like to refer to it as “pebbled” or “bubble” crepe.
Metro Textiles~ NYC Garment District
Although this is one of my favorite stores in the Garment District in NYC, they also have a website you can order from. There is almost always a coupon code to get 40-60% off. Right now the code FALL50 will give you 50% off.
The Abstract rayon/linen fabric is available here.
This is a great little shop owned by a woman. She has a brick and mortar shop within that have some great fabrics! She gets great designer deadstock fabrics. Be sure to sign up for her newsletters to see the great finds that she gets in her shop! The lilac tropical rayon voile that I used for my Timbre Top is one of the best finds I have gotten from her. The texture is just so amazing~ it is clearly from a high-end designer. I purchased this a few years ago so sadly it isn’t available anymore, but please check out Josie’s shop!
This is a Canadian shop that has always been my go to for quality cotton batiste block prints as well as exclusive rayon/linen prints. If you are in the US, they have halted shipping to the US for the time being which makes me very sad! Hopefully they will begin again, because I would pay the additional tariffs in order to get their fabrics. Luckily I still have 2 other block prints in my stash!
